Keep Shooting All Year
The goal of Southwest Trap is to build individuals and families with lifelong shotgun sport traditions. Clay target shooting is a sport you can enjoy for decades, and pass down to future generations.
At the high school level, year-round shooters who continue beyond the ECTC — across trap, sporting clays, and skeet — become more complete competitors and stay sharp, year to year.
Just as importantly, building a record of registered targets opens doors to collegiate shooting opportunities and scholarships. There are more opportunities out there than most families realize — but they go to shooters who stay active.
Here’s all you need to know to make the summer of 2026 your family’s Summer of Shooting…
Lincoln Ikes ATA Shoot
June 13
- Registration begins at 7:00am, shooting at 8:30am
- There will be a separate (faster) registration line for Presquaded shooters
- Bring cash or check for payments (no credit cards)
- Event #1 is 100 16-yard singles
- Event #2 is 100 Handicap targets
- Event #3 is 50 pairs of doubles
- You can enter any or all of the main three events. If you shoot all three, you’ll also be in contention for “High Overall”.
- Breakfast and Lunch onsite in the clubhouse
- Izaak Walton will have Belt Buckle awards for class winners!

Shoot summer leagues
(Recommended)
Both Lincoln Ike’s and LT&S run summer trap leagues immediately after the high school season. This
is the easiest way to keep shooting consistently with friends.
There is also a local, summer league called WASP-B with shoots at trap ranges around southeastern
Nebraska.
Create accounts so you can register for events
ATA and NSCA use websites to let you sign up for events (including the Cosmic Clays nighttime 5-
stand shoots held at LT&S).
Create accounts at these links as soon as you have received your association memberships. This will let
you see and register for upcoming shoots.
